Borinqueneers Awarded Congressional Gold Medal

On April 13, 2016, the 65th Infantry was finally awarded the Congressional Gold Medal. The 65th Infantry Regiment, nicknamed "The Borinqueneers" is a Puerto Rican regiment of the United States Army. The 65th Infantry Regiment participated in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and in what is known in the United States as the War on Terror.
